Altitude Without the Attitude

Upstares & Sotto Varalli will be married together into Sotto Varalli’s space (the first floor restaurant.) For years now, Upstares & Sotto have fused their menus together to create one menu offering the best of Northern Italian and Seafood with a Mediterranean twist. The merged restaurant will be called simply “Varalli”.
After 21 years of service, the Upstares restaurant will be remodeled to become a gastro-pub. It will be called Perch Pub- a name reflecting an elevated place for resting or sitting in a prominent location. Patrons will ‘roost’ above Broad and Locust Streets (the Avenue of the Arts) and enjoy a large selection of crafted local micro-brewed beers on tap, a full bar and an American-inspired menu of comfort food made from scratch – even the ketchup. Perch Pub will be relaxed, unpretentious - complete with pool table, dart board, juke box, HDTV’s and a large drop-down projection screen for those big games. The interior will have a feel of a time-less pub. Opening is slated for later this month.
Perch promises to have “altitude with NO attitude” complete with culinary excellence.
